bailing out for a while
Now that the Dubya era is behind us, Jon Stewart and the Daily Show need some new ridiculous modern phenomenon to lampoon.
Thank God for Wall Street, so!
It may go on for over eight minutes, but still is worthwhile viewing because although it is a "comedy clip", the realities it highlights almost make you want to cry.
You won't see a more accurate appraisal of the current economic situation in the US anywhere else. Just why the hell a President should consider himself accountable to a bunch of greedy young men running around a bank of computers in New York is beyond me.
On a separate note, I'm taking a break from this blog for a while, not sure how long yet. What with all my blogging, twittering and facebooking of late, I think I need to step back and take a deep breath. I'm sure you'll get on just fine without me.
Have a recession-forgetting weekend, folks.

Anything to do with the coming feast of rugby by any chance? Fair winds, JL.
Great clip by the way.
I hope we can still talk about the project I want to tell you about. If not, I'll understand.
Please let me know.
After having read your post and then watched the video, seeing how you evaluated it, I think you need a break, Mr. P. ;-)
@ Eoin : Thanks...might have something to do with the rugby - I'm kepping my sports blogs going, just stepping back from this one.
@ Omaniblog : talk to you Monday.
@ Mr S : I'm hardly surprised u feel that way ;-)
I believe the Irish term I'm looking for is "shite." As in, shite, dude, no more JL for a while?
All the best, man. Looking forward to your return.
